When living in Seattle, the harsh climate of city life often felt unbearable, even though it brought so much joy to our lives. Young adults often still carry the insecurities of childhood, but are now expected to take control of their lives and know exactly how to deal with the pressures of the modern world. Sometimes, we would become so disillusioned from stress and anxiety that we'd wonder if maybe we were just dreaming the whole thing.
lyrics
Summer silhouetted boulevard watching the planes soar
A few angelic rays decay from the bay to the old drugstore
I met her, hoping to leave every grief in the ocean and out of my mind
Told me her name but the waves crashed and two halves of our broken hearts were aligned.
Not looking for love, we were down in the pits
No intimate connection, just the taste of a kiss
Now the moment’s over, but I just wanna hold onto this
Maybe I could try to tell myself it’s only a dream
In a comatose state, I relate better than it would seem
She said “Maybe I could try to tell you this is only a dream
Cause I’ll fly to where you are in the stars when you’re falling asleep.”
Lonely hotel lobbies where the monsters of youth live
Pencil marks in the hearts of the victims who won’t forgive
“I know if I can’t be perfect, I’m worthless” A lie that held to be true
Her pillow soaks up the tears every year, “Can you hear me? I’m calling to you!”
She let her hair down, we graffitied the street
I remember how it tasted every time our lips would meet
And when I sleep alone, I revisit all those nights on repeat
Maybe I could try to tell myself it’s only a dream
In a comatose state, I relate better than it would seem
She said “Maybe I could try to tell you this is only a dream
Cause I’ll fly to where you are in the stars when you’re falling asleep.”

Maybe I could try to tell myself it’s only a dream
In a comatose state, I relate better than it would seem
She said “Maybe I could try to tell you this is only a dream
Cause I’ll fly to where you are in the stars no matter how far,
cause you and I are a team!”
Maybe I could try to tell myself it’s only a dream
When the world felt alive, she would drive somewhere I’d never seen
She said “Maybe I could try to tell you this is only a dream
Cause I’ll fly to where you are in the stars when you’re falling asleep.”

The most recent advancement in synthwave music is here! The latest model, "H1D30TR0N1C" (aka Hideotronic) is a revolutionary new android designed to take you on journeys through memories and beyond your wildest dreams.
No other album fills me with so much nostalgia for childhood and the beautiful pain of seeing it fade away like Kids does. The Midnight are awesome! Hideotronic
finally! I've been meaning to support this awesome lady for awhile now.. the collaboration alone on this album speaks volumes about Oceanside85 as an artist!! We chatted online once. I think i shared a pic of these girls from my high school that dressed up like The Go-Go's during the 1989 school year.. anyway. Lots of love to you and I hope you have a wonderful summer!! 💋❤️ Shane Dangers
Just had to get this on vinyl although I've been listening to this album for a couple of years already.... now it can take it rightful place beside " Endless Summer!"🧔 Knut -Thomas
