There are many LGBTQ+ youth around the world who commit or seriously consider self-harm or suicide every year. If you ever feel like you can't be open about who you truly are, or that you are worthless because you can't be who other people want you to be, it's not true. You are beautiful and worthy of love. There are people and places that will support you and cherish you for who you are, and though it may seem like you're all alone, there are others who feel the same way you do.

I wrote this song based on stories from friends of mine who had grown up in heavily repressed or religious households, and I wanted to instill the message that it's okay to feel lonely, but there are people who are there to be lonely with you. We can be together forever alone, but whatever you do, please don't give up on yourself, no matter how hard it may get.
